Printing Logan

We are back again after another big week of printing Logan.  The weekend was a blur of unpacking and getting the new house back to normal after the move.

My daughter Katelyn was super happy that I finally put her new trampoline together.  I got it for her about 2 months before we moved house, so she has been pestering me non stop to put it together so she can play. I also put up the swing set, plus we also bought her a ‘tennis ball on a rope’ pole and a soccer net.

Our backyard has been taken over with kids toys, but I guess thats what life is all about

I overhauled my 3 foot fish tank that I use for breeding endler guppy hybrids. After removing all the plants and rocks, I vacuumed the substrate and did a 50% water change. I took most of the moss and fissidens that I had gathered for my friends creek, and created a new landscape. I made a carpet of moss that covers most of the tan and anchored the lankier fissidens all around the edges of the tank.

After hours of cleaning and re-scaping, I wasn’t happy with the tank layout. I too out a few big pieces and replaced them with a better variety of small pieces which I think looks a lot nicer.

I also had another Uniprint QLD animation made, this time focussing on invoice book printing Logan & Brisbane. The tradesman featured in this weeks video has run out of duplicate invoice books and his previous Brisbane Printer is no longer trading.  Mr tradesman has lost all of his artwork, so he needs our graphic design & printing services. We design & print new invoice books and our client is then able to invoice his customer and receive payment for work completed.

magazine & booklet printing Brisbane

Welcome to a public holiday edition of our blog post. Today we are talking about magazine & booklet printing Brisbane, as is the featured video from Usman Gigyani.

I am listening to a super interesting radio interview with Dr Elaine Ingham about soil biology, compost teas etc. Dr Ingham has been one of the trail blazers for true living organic gardening for many years. She has written a number of books such as ‘the compost brewers handbook’.

The conversation started with a listener question around the ideal temperature and conditions to brew a compost tea. Dr Ingham recommends brewing your compost tea in the same conditions as you will be applying it your lawn and garden. The easiest way to do this is sit your brewer in your garden.

Certain temperatures & humidity  will select for certain types of bacteria, fungi, protozoa which thrive in those specific conditions. The natural fluctuations in temperature in your garden will provide a range of temperatures throughout the day. Brewing your tea in your garden will grow a diverse range of micro-life which are suitable to thrive in these specific conditions.

Time was another question that came up.  How long should I be brewing my compost tea? Can I perpetually culture a specific batch of micro life? Dr Ingham’s recommendation was to brew a compost tea for between 24 to 48 hours before use.  You can keep a compost tea for up to 5 days, but after this point the diversity of micro life reduces greatly and 1 or 2 species become dominant.

Dr Elaine recommends keeping a compost heap, which will naturally have massive diversity of micro life. Varying heat and humidity conditions throughout different parts of the pile will provide the different conditions required. Compost extracts were recommended for adding diversity of soil life to your garden.

Extracts are more of a slurry than a tea.  The mixture is not aerated to activate or increase the volume of micro life. The micro organisms are simply stripped from the compost and watered straight onto the soil. This ensures that the diversity of life is not reduced during the brewing process, as certain organisms thrive in those conditions and become dominant.

Brochure & Flyer Printer Logan

The move is getting closer! Not long until the Uniprint QLD office moves to Yarrabilba QLD 4207. We will remain open for business throughout the move, so don’t hesitate to call when you need a Brochure & Flyer Printer Logan.

Stress levels are mounting, but we are slowly getting through the list of jobs that need completing before the big day.  I am getting frustrated because a lot of the tasks need to be completed closer to the hand over date. I want to get started on things like mowing the lawn and pressure washing the windows, but I don’t want to risk them getting dirty again before we move out.

A quick look at some jobs in progress: We have some orders in a the moment for business cards, brochures / flyers and magnets seem popular with schools at the moment. We are slowly developing a bit of a following amongst the QLD school community for magnet design & print. We originally printed some white board magnets for St Augustines, which said, ‘Learning intentions’, ‘Success Criteria’ & ‘Extras for Experts’. Each magnet had the school logo in CMYK full colour and the background is either yellow. blue or red.

These seem to have caught the eye of management of others schools, and we have received orders from 10 other local QLD schools now as a result. It started out the the enquiries were all catholic schools, but then word got out amongst the State schools and Bundamba College become a client. They have just ordered their second batch of magnets this year, and we also received a order from Aquinas College in Ashmore, Queensland Australia.

The feature video from today is another stop animation from Fiverr. The video shows a Pest controller tradesman who needs to generate more enquiry from his local area in Brisbane, Logan QLD. He calls Uniprint QLD to enquire about Logan printing & design, approves a proof then we print the Flyer / brochure. The customer receives their order by courier, then distributes the brochures / flyers and start receiving enquiry for his services.
