Booklet printing Brisbane – Magazines, Catalogues, Annual Reports, Training Manuals
Before quoting on your printing, the first thing to consider is your artwork and how many pages will be required in your booklet. The number off pages and finished size are two pieces of info we will need to provide a quote. Please also advise whether the artwork will be CMYK or pms spot colour, or a mix of the two.
Saddle stitched books require a number of pages that is a multiple of 4, to suit the corresponding number of sheets e.g. A 20pp A4 book is 5 x A3 sheets that have been folded to A4 size. Wiro bound & perfect bound books can have any multiple of 2 for the number of pages, because the sheets are trimmed to A4 size before binding.
Another option to consider is whether you would like a heavier cover than the internal pages? The other option is a ‘self-covering’ book, which has a cover of the same stock as the internals.
The heavier cover is only slightly more expensive and creates a more substantial feeling book, and offers a greater level of physical protection from the heavier stock. Most of the Magazines or catalogues we manufacture have a 250gsm gloss cover and internal pages on a 150gsm gloss art paper.
For a premium finish consider a gloss or matt cello glaze on a heavy cover – this will make your booklets FEEL even better than they look. This cello glaze finish is also an option on CMYK business cards, Postcards, flyers & brochures etc.
Binding is another option to consider – Saddle stitching is the most cost effective option in most cases. We also offer a range of folding and binding services such as perfect binding and wiro binding for training manuals etc.
